Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House on the Prairie" book series will always have a place in my heart. My third grade teacher Mrs. Hester made my class read the entire series. At the time, I didn't really enjoy them and found their Midwest lifestyle completely distant from my own. As I got older however, I began to reread them and fell in love with the Wilder family and their do-it-yourself lifestyle: picking berries, making maple syrup, sewing clothes, and building cabins. If there was field nearby to frolic in, this is what I would wear (with my hair in two perfect braids, of course)!
